The Office of Digital Accessibility offers a variety of accessibility testing tools to the Stanford community to help identify potential accessibility issues on your website. We can help you get started by testing single pages for accessibility barriers as well as implementing a website scanning and monitoring solution to provide you with regular updates.
Whether you are creating Microsoft Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, Google Docs, PDF documents, or other electronic documents, including accessibility as part of the authoring process will result in electronic files that can be used by a diverse audience, including individuals with disabilities.
Videos posted to our public websites should have captions as part of the media presentation. While auto-generated captions can help you get started, it is necessary to review and ensure the captions are accurate and include all relevant information. Posting an audio file or podcast? Then all you need to publish is the transcript! Learn more about captions.
More vendors are including accessibility as part of their product design. Not sure about the vendor’s documentation? Need some assistance in determining which information technology products and services meet accessibility standards?
