Accessible Charts and Graphs

Charts, graphs, and any other visual representation of data need to be made in a way that is accessible for all. Take the following pie chart:

Pie chart with slice colors that are visually very similiar.

Many will have difficulties understanding the relationship between the color slices and the data in this cart because the colors are not contrasting enough and have no labeling. Whereas this next pie chart has the same exact data, but it is easier to read and understand by everyone (not just those with visual disabilities).

An accessible version of the same pie chart with more color contrast between slices and the data labels moved inside each slice.

Of course, any attendees that are visually impaired, or who are connected to the meeting without video (such as attendees that call in) will need the content described to them, and not just presented visually.
