Ascom Pocket Telephones (Model i62) for SHC Staff

Ascom i62 pocket telephone (APT) instructions

The Ascom i62 is deployed only at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. There are two feature sets for the i62; one for nursing units, and another for other SHC staff. This page is for SHS staff.

Turn the handset onPress and hold onoff button until the handset begins to start up.
Answer/end a callTo answer a call, press phone button or tap Accept. To end a call, press  onoff button  or tap the End soft key.
Call waitingWhen on an active call and another call comes in, a tone will sound and a new session will display. Select the Accept or Decline softkey.
Place a callDial the number , press the Call soft key or phone button.
Hold/resume a callTo place a call on hold, tap the More soft key and select Hold. To return to a call on hold, tap the Retrieve soft key.
Transfer a callWhile on a call, tap the More soft key, then tap Transfer to new. Enter a phone number or select a number from the Unit Directory.
Conference callsTo join two active calls, tap More, select Conference,  then tap Select. To create a conference call from one active call, tap More, select New Call, then dial the number. When the second call is accepted, tap More, select Conference, and  tap Select.
Turn the handset offPress and hold onoff button until Switch off? is displayed. Press Yes.
