Unlike other social media platforms, X does not automatically generate alternative text.

1. After uploading your image, click Add Description.
2. Type your Alt text.
3. Click Done.

Captions for X video posts

When posting a video to X, you can add captions to the video content. Not only do captions create a more inclusive experience for people with disabilities, but many users enable captions due to viewing content in noisy environments.

Adding Captions to a Video

1. Upload a video to your Tweet.
2. Select Upload caption file (.srt) below the video.
3. A pop-up window will appear. Select the Upload Captions button.
4. Choose the caption file from your computer
5. Click Done.
