Accessibility Office Hours

The Stanford Office of Digital Accessibility offers two different office hours which are both free of charge to current faculty, staff, and students:

Accessibility Office Hour

Members of the Office of Digital Accessibility are available on Tuesdays from 11AM to 12PM (Pacific) to answer questions, conduct evaluations, and support you in your efforts to create a more accessible digital environment. The weekly Accessibility Office Hours is a time to bring your digital accessibility questions and work through solutions with our Accessibility Team.

Registration

  • Register for a Tuesday Accessibility Office Hour session
  • Registration is required for a 30-minute block. Sign-up for multiple blocks if you need more time.
  • Please provide a short description of your question or a URL to the content you wish to review so we can prepare for the meeting.

  • Obtain guidance on how to test and evaluate websites for accessibility
  • Receive recommendations on how to integrate digital accessibility and universal design principles into instructional content
  • Learn how your website or digital content functions with assistive technologies, such as screen-readers
  • Receive feedback about the accessibility of a website, online course, or online platform
  • Get answers on how to properly code interactive components for accessibility

Siteimprove & Accessibility Drop In Hour

Members of the Office of Digital Accessibility an open office hour every Thursday from 11AM to 12PM (Pacific) for you to drop in and discuss any Siteimprove questions, or any other accessibility related question. This is an open hour so unlike the Accessibility Office Hour, there may be other people in the conversation.

Registration

  • There is no registration required. Join the Zoom meeting (see the #cop-siteimprove Slack channel) between 11AM to 12PM on Thursdays.
  • Note that if there are any changes or cancellations, they will be posted to the #cop-siteimprove Slack channel.

Features

  • Informal discussion of accessibility topics with accessibility engineers and others on campus.
  • Conversation about other topics within Siteimprove which can include Quality Assurance (broken links, misspelled words, etc.), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and any other feature of Siteimprove.
