Accessible Data Tables
Tables can effectively display complex information relationships in an understandable format. However, because tables are primarily visual, they can be difficult for assistive technology users to understand when visually apparent relationships are not clearly communicated in the underlying structure. Creating accessible data tables that work for all users can be done for both web and documents by following a few techniques.
The relatively simple examples presented here can serve as starting points for creating more complex, accessible tables.
