A more powerful AI powered assistant (powered by OpenAI models) built directly into Microsoft 365 applications like Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams for increased functionality. (Microsoft 365 Copilot is not the same as Microsoft Copilot or Microsoft Copilot Chat.)

Microsoft Copilot Chat is a generative AI assistant available to the Stanford community. It uses the latest AI models to answer questions, summarize content, and generate text or images. When you sign in with your Stanford SUNet ID, your data is protected—chat data is not saved, Microsoft has no eyes-on access, and your data is not used to train the models.

AI features within Stanford Slack that cut through endless threads with instant summaries, surface answers in seconds, transform conversations into shareable content, and automate routine workflow. With less scrolling, more doing—Slack AI is your shortcut to getting work done faster.
