ChatGPT EDU is a version of ChatGPT designed specifically for universities, enabling Stanford to apply AI-powered approaches responsibly across teaching, learning, and research. This new offering from OpenAI is another accessible option for the community to adopt AI at scale, including the ability to build custom versions of ChatGPT for specific projects, courses, or tasks.

Features

  • Image Generation, Slides and Spreadsheets: Generate and iterate on artifacts using references and natural language.
  • Computer Use: ChatGPT can navigate approved websites and software to complete repetitive, multistep research and administrative workflows under the user’s direction.
  • Automations: Schedule workflows for recurring work such as monitoring new research, preparing lab or project updates, refreshing course materials, and compiling regular reports using available plugins and connectors.
  • Data Analysis and Interactive Visualizations: Clean and analyze datasets, identify patterns, create charts and diagrams, and build interactive explanations that make research findings and complex concepts easier to explore.
