Stanford has signed a campus license agreement to provide the most commonly used Microsoft software to all faculty, staff, and students. There is no cost to individuals or departments for the MS software on Stanford-owned machines. Microsoft Imagine standard developer tools are available to faculty, staff, and students for no fee for academic and classroom use. Students may download one copy of Microsoft Office and Windows for free on their personal machine. Faculty and staff may purchase one copy of Microsoft Office for their personal machine for $9.95.*

Microsoft Desktop OS, Applications, and Server Products for Stanford IT Professionals
Microsoft CALS, Desktop Productivity, and Server software are available to Stanford as a result of the 2013-2018 Microsoft Campus Agreement.
