UIT’s top priorities for the 2019/20 performance year
Partner with Stanford Alumni Association (SAA) and Office of Development (OOD) to implement new Salesforce-based platform for alumni and donor relations
Implement technical guardrails, establish monitoring, and build organizational expertise to prevent and/or detect misconfiguration of cloud-based systems used by Stanford
Proactively identify and remediate unduly exposed files, implement automated protection mechanisms, and archive unneeded data across all major university file storage systems
Support the continued growth and development of our internal talent and the diversity of our community in an inclusive environment
Create a holistic Managed Print Services (MPS) program for Stanford University (including SRWC) with the goal of improving workflow efficiency, reducing security risks, enhancing end-user experience, reducing total cost of ownership, and achieving long-term sustainability goals
Leverage and expand on existing data foundations to provide more comprehensive solutions for information management and delivery for end-to-end research life-cycle reporting
Enhance Rimeto to improve directory visualization and collaboration among community; specifically: expand the current Stanford-Only view of Rimeto with a Public View and link to collaboration tools
Work with a broad set of campus stakeholders to identify alternatives for support of a cloud infrastructure service, including funding and staffing recommendations for a sustainable business model
Replace Web Content Management System (CMS) and other web-related AFS services with cloud-based Drupal 8 and WordPress
Improve resiliency of Business Affairs applications and services, including response plans in the event of major incidents or disasters; and improve capability of Business Affairs staff to maintain continuity of operations for critical functions
Enhance the Stanford Mobile application with an initial focus on improving functionality most relevant to the student experience
Review and redesign university’s IT governance groups to increase strategic focus and alignment
Transition Stanford from the existing Avaya Call Center solution to the new Cisco Contact Center Platform in a multi-year project that will implement more modern technology at hundreds of call centers across Stanford and the hospitals.
Enable UIT to more efficiently understand and prioritize demand for its services by providing a transparent governance model that gathers, evaluates, and prioritizes clients’ needs, and provides improved visibility to pipeline and project status across the UIT portfolio.
