Improved Ordering for Voice, Oak, and Build a Meeting Room Services

University IT's (UIT) Voice, Oak Storage, and Build a Meeting Room services will move to a modern ordering and billing system as the final phase in the multi-year project to streamline the ordering process for all University IT services.

Our current ordering system, OrderIT, is used when requesting new IT services and changes or cancellations to existing IT services. Beginning at 5 p.m. PDT on March 14, 2024, we will update the ordering process for Voice and Telephone, Oak Storage, and Build a Meeting Room services.  Below are some important changes to note.

What to expect for Voice and Telephone services

Ordering in OrderIT will be offline from 5 p.m. on March 14, 2024, through 2 p.m. PDT on March 23, 2024, as the service gets migrated to the new ordering and billing system. 

What to expect for Oak Storage and Build a Meeting Room services

  • Between now and 2 p.m. PDT on March 23, 2024, continue submitting requests to add, change, or cancel service as you do today. 
  • After 2 p.m. PDT on March 23, 2024, request forms for adding, changing, or canceling service will automatically redirect to new forms. These forms will have a slightly different format than the current forms, but they will still be processed using the same ticketing portal.
