Planned Maintenance Outage for Critical Services Starting March 21
University IT (UIT) will perform planned maintenance to upgrade core IP Storage network infrastructure starting Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 8 p.m. (PT) to Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 8 a.m. (PT). During the maintenance window, several critical services will be unavailable.
Impacted services
To maintain reliable service, UIT will replace hardware that is reaching the end of support and update the network to current data center standards. The following critical services will be temporarily unavailable during the planned maintenance period:
- Axess
- Student Enrollment
- Oracle Financials (ofweb.stanford.edu)
- Tableau
- Oracle Business Intelligence Reporting
- Andrew File System (AFS) / Secure AFS
- Mailman
- Course Support
- Stanford Digital Repository (extended weekend shutdown)

We expect all services listed above to be back online by Sunday, March 22, at 8 a.m. PT, with the exception of Stanford Digital Repository, which will be offline from 5p.m. Friday, March 20, through 10 a.m. Monday, March 23, for additional maintenance.
