Connectors
Connectors for Claude and Gemini (these are called apps in OpenAI) allow you to bring files and individual workspace documents directly into your conversations. To ensure data privacy and security, these connectors or apps are reviewed before being allowed in the Stanford environment. You're in control of which systems the AI tools can access.

Connectors let Claude access your apps and services, retrieve your data, and take actions within connected services. Claude inherits each person's permissions from the connected service.
Google Workspace
Connect your Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive to Claude so you can search emails, manage your calendar, work with documents, and save files—all without leaving the conversation through the Google Workspace connectors for Claude.
Microsoft 365
Connecting Microsoft 365 lets Claude search and analyze content across SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, and Teams in your work account. Ask a question that needs information from your work data, and Claude pulls what it needs to answer. This is accomplished through the Microsoft 365 connector for Claude.
Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Anthropic provides add-ins that allow you to use Claude from within Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Additional Connectors
OpenAI's ChatGPT uses apps to connect to the tools you use every day like Slack, SharePoint, Google Drive and more.
You can search for apps and connect to them. You will need to log in with the app before it can be used. The following apps are approved for use with ChatGPT.
Google Workspace
ChatGPT can connect to Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive. To connect these apps, search for them in the ChatGPT App Directory.
Microsoft 365
The following apps for Microsoft are available.

Additional Connectors
Gemini connectors integrate Google’s AI models with your everyday apps and enterprise data sources, allowing Gemini to search, retrieve information, and take agentic actions across your connected workspaces.
The following connectors are available for Google Gemini Enterprise Standard and Pro.
