Android Device Compatibility and Support

University IT (UIT) supported Android devices are the Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy models listed as Stanford standard devices. 

Android devices from other manufacturers are not explicitly blocked from enrolling in Microsoft Intune and may enroll successfully if they meet Stanford and Microsoft Android Enterprise requirements. However, these devices have not been validated by UIT, and compatibility with all Stanford Intune configurations, security policies, applications, and compliance requirements cannot be guaranteed. 

UIT does not provide break/fix support for device- or manufacturer-specific issues on non-standard Android devices. If an issue is determined to be related to the device manufacturer, operating system customization, or firmware, users may be asked to contact the device manufacturer or replace the device with a Stanford-supported Google or Samsung model. 

Successful enrollment of a non-standard Android device does not mean the device is fully supported by UIT.
