How do I request an exception for a device that cannot be made compliant?

In some unusual cases,  such as when a device is used to run specialized equipment or applications, it won't be possible to comply with Stanford's requirement to verifiably encrypt all Windows and Mac computers, as well as Apple and Android mobile devices, that are used on the campus network. In such cases you should submit a compliance exception request.
