What is a Patching Warrior?

A patching warrior is a member of the Stanford community that takes active ownership in ensuing that the computing devices they administer are fully updated with security patches on a regular basis, strives to exceed the Minimum security standards (minsec.stanford.edu) and keeps informed on new security concerns.

• Do you routinely apply firmware and BIOS updates to hardware you manage?

• Do you have routine maintenance windows and patching schedules established for all of your systems?
