Zoom has made substantial updates in its latest release, Meetings 6.0.0. The redesign will offer you a more powerful platform with customizable options and enhanced screen sharing.
To ensure your virtual meetings run smoothly, it is recommended that you hold off on updating to Meetings 6.0.0 until we can verify the stability of the new features that accompany this release.

Here are just a few of the many exciting new features in the Meetings 6.0.0 updates.

The Zoom desktop app includes a refreshed in-meeting client experience, including new icons and color schemes that can be selected in the app settings.

Users can customize the meeting toolbar icons with a drop-and-drag interface, simplifying the in-meeting experience. The Security tab is moved under 'Host Tools' icon.

An enhanced multi-speaker view highlights current and recent speakers while still providing a gallery view of other participants.

Share your screen, app window, and Zoom Whiteboards simultaneously during a meeting. Participants will see the shared content in separate tabs within the meeting window.

New meeting wallpaper options, enabling hosts or co-hosts to select a pre-set image to serve as the background for all participants.
Zoom released Meetings 6.0.0 updates on April 15, 2024; however, it's recommended that you hold off on updating to Meetings 6.0.0 until we can verify the stability of the new features that accompany this release. Stay tuned to this page, as we will provide more information as it becomes available.
If your settings are enabled to automatically keep the Zoom desktop client up-to-date, when you get the new version will depend on the frequency choice selected in "Update Channel."
Otherwise, either your local computer admin will determine when your device will update to Meetings 6.0.0, or Zoom will eventually prompt you to update when it becomes Zoom's preferred stable version.
