Erika Cespedes is a Costarican born commercial and fine art photographer. Her fine art work focuses on day-to-day narrative life events placed in natural settings, while her commercial work focuses on food photography, advertising and people. As a passionate artist and educator, she has worked with museums, K-12 schools, under-served communities, homeless-shelters and at risk youth centers nationwide. Erika believes students from all cultural backgrounds and socio-economic status deserve art in their life as a form of expression and personal growth. She currently teaches photography, design and post-editing classes for several higher education institutions. Her work has been published in world-renowned magazines, and commissioned by publishers to create exquisite food imagery for book layouts and covers. Her fine art work continues to be displayed in galleries and museums nationwide. She has also written a book in photography; “Digital Photography & Adobe Photography Programs: An easy guide to shoot, edit and print your images.”
