Tips for Working Within MC

The following are some helpful hints to consider as you work within the CardinalShield Mission Continuity (MC) solution:

  1. You must complete each step before moving on to the next step, but you can always go back to a prior step to review and make updates before submitting for approval. After you complete the first step, you’ll see the complete list of steps in the "Steps" pane on the right side of the window.
  2. At any of the steps, you can click the Send Back to Previous Step button at the bottom of the page to be presented with a pop-up window with a list of steps to return to.
  3. As you first enter each step, you’ll need to click the Edit button at the bottom of the window to enter new data or make updates.
  4. Certain fields require that you click the “pencil” icon or “lock” icon before you can enter data or make updates.
  5. You can always periodically save your work by clicking the Save & Stay Here button located at the bottom of the page.
  6. Some fields will require that you click on a blue button that brings up a list for you to pick entries from (like applications, vendors, buildings, people, etc.). In that list, to search for a particular entry, you can enter text in the Filter Entries box at the top right side of the page; the Filter Entries field is like a “search” field.
  7. Use the Tab key on your keyboard to easily navigate to the next question.
  8. For certain questions, there is an + Add More button you can click to add more entries to that question.
  9. In each step, there is an opportunity to upload files or attachments. Do not upload files or attachments that contain high risk data.
  10. When ready to submit your work and continue to the next step, click the Save & Proceed button at the bottom of the window.
  11. Once you click the Save & Submit button on the Group/Team/Division Review & Approval step, your plan will be sent to second level for review and approval, and you will NOT be able to edit the plan further.
