IM Training Overview for EOC Members
When the EOC is activated, the EOC team reports in person or virtually, where you will log in to CardinalShield to manage the response. EOC team members coordinate developing a possibly prolonged response to an event through a collaboration “room” in CardinalShield, which is behind SSO authentication. The EOC room will contain initial decisions made by the STAT. The EOC (or STAT/EOC) room is the space where you will:
- Coordinate response and resources until the incident is resolved.
- Track and report incident progress.
- Provide information for the EOC Policy Group, which defines institutional priorities.
The EOC room (or STAT/EOC room) allows you to see the incident map with updated incident information. The EOC room provides a common operating picture on an incident map along with robust tools to:
- track and share incident information
- allocate resources
- coordinate with university and external partners, and
- prepare incident messaging to the university community.
