Tips for Working Within ITDR

Following these hints, you can efficiently navigate and use the CardinalShield ITDR application to create comprehensive disaster recovery plans.

  1. Step-by-step completion: Complete each step before moving on to the next. You can always go back to previous steps to review and make updates before submitting for approval.
  2. View all steps: After completing the first step, you will see the complete list of steps in the "Steps" pane located on the right-side of the window.
  3. Return to previous steps: At any step, you can click the "Send Back to Previous Step" button at the bottom of the page. A pop-up window will then appear, showing you a list of steps you can return to.
  4. Edit data: When you first enter each step, click the "Edit" button at the bottom of the window to enter new data or make updates.
  5. Special fields: Some fields require you to click on the "Pencil" icon or "Lock" icon before you can enter data or make updates.
  6. Save your work: Save your work periodically by clicking the "Save & Stay Here" button at the bottom of the page.
  7. Select from lists: Certain fields require you to click a blue button to bring up a list of entries (such as applications, vendors, buildings, people, etc.). To search for an entry, use the “Filter Entries” box at the top right side of the page.
  8. Keyboard navigation: Use the "Tab" key on your keyboard to easily navigate to the next question.
  9. Add more entries: For certain questions, you can click the "+ Add More" button to add additional entries.
  10. Upload files: Each step may provide the opportunity to upload files or attachments. Please avoid uploading files or attachments that contain high-risk data.
  11. Proceed to next step: When ready to submit your work and move to the next step, click the "Save & Proceed" button at the bottom of the window.
