Tips for Working Within ITDR
Following these hints, you can efficiently navigate and use the CardinalShield ITDR application to create comprehensive disaster recovery plans.
- Step-by-step completion: Complete each step before moving on to the next. You can always go back to previous steps to review and make updates before submitting for approval.
- View all steps: After completing the first step, you will see the complete list of steps in the "Steps" pane located on the right-side of the window.
- Return to previous steps: At any step, you can click the "Send Back to Previous Step" button at the bottom of the page. A pop-up window will then appear, showing you a list of steps you can return to.
- Edit data: When you first enter each step, click the "Edit" button at the bottom of the window to enter new data or make updates.
- Special fields: Some fields require you to click on the "Pencil" icon or "Lock" icon before you can enter data or make updates.
- Save your work: Save your work periodically by clicking the "Save & Stay Here" button at the bottom of the page.
- Select from lists: Certain fields require you to click a blue button to bring up a list of entries (such as applications, vendors, buildings, people, etc.). To search for an entry, use the “Filter Entries” box at the top right side of the page.
- Keyboard navigation: Use the "Tab" key on your keyboard to easily navigate to the next question.
- Add more entries: For certain questions, you can click the "+ Add More" button to add additional entries.
- Upload files: Each step may provide the opportunity to upload files or attachments. Please avoid uploading files or attachments that contain high-risk data.
- Proceed to next step: When ready to submit your work and move to the next step, click the "Save & Proceed" button at the bottom of the window.
