Get ready, partners! This here's yer chance to show off a bit—and even help change the future of cybersecurity. 

This "Showdown at the AI Corral" pitch competition provides students an excellent platform to pitch your security and AI focused ideas to a panel of industry experts, investors, and potential mentors.

The top applicants will be invited to present live in front of a panel of judges on Oct. 17, at the 2024 Cybersecurity & Privacy Festival. The stakes are high, and the rewards are even higher: trophies, swag, networking, and mentorship opportunities.

Rules

Who can apply?

  • University students (any—undergraduate, graduate, postdoc)
  • Individuals or teams of any size
    • Note that if participating as a team, only one trophy is awarded and, if a first place winner, only one iPad is awarded. 

What types of ideas are permitted?

  • Ideas focused on AI and privacy/security solutions
  • Venture ideas at any stage (in the cybersecurity/AI sector)

Will the pitch be shared?

  • The live pitch competition attendance is limited to CyberFest participants, other contestants, event staff, and judges.
  • Presentations are considered public disclosures.
  • There are no confidentiality agreements.
  • This session will not be recorded.

​What is the format of the pitch competition, if the application is selected?

The top six applications will face off in front of a panel of seasoned expert judges. Each team will have just five minutes to pitch their groundbreaking ideas, followed by five minutes to stand your ground against questions from our expert panelist of judges.

If your application is selected as a finalist in the pitch competition, your pitch must be presented on Oct. 17 live onsite at Stanford. At least one person representing the pitch must attend live to present.
