From Highway 101 North and South:
Driving: Take the Embarcadero Road exit west toward Stanford. At El Camino Real, Embarcadero turns into Galvez Street as it enters the Stanford campus. Stay in the left lane through two roundabouts and continue toward the center of campus. Drive past Memorial Way. The Hoover Institution is at the southwest corner of Galvez Street and Jane Stanford Way.
From Highway 280 North and South:
Driving: Exit Sand Hill Road east toward Stanford. Continue east past Juniper Serra Blvd, turning right on Stock Farm Road. Make a left onto Campus Drive and follow it past the Medical Center and across Palm Drive. Enter the roundabout and turn right onto Galvez Street. Drive past Memorial Way. The Hoover Institution is at the southwest corner of Galvez Street and Jane Stanford Way.
Caltrain is a commuter rail service that runs between Gilroy and San Francisco and the stop closest to Stanford Campus is the Palo Alto station. It is a 50-minute ride to San Francisco from Palo Alto. Phone: 800.660.4287.
The free Stanford shuttle, called the Marguerite, meets most trains at the Palo Alto Transit Center, 6:00 a.m. - 7: 45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Guests staying at the Sheraton Palo Alto can also access the shuttle at the transit center, located next to the hotel’s parking lot. Take Line Y (clockwise) which is available 6:10 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., every 15 minutes. Take Line Y to the Serra Street at Encina Hall stop. Phone: 650.723.1754.
Visitor parking is available in designated Stanford campus areas. All visitor parking payments are contactless and managed through ParkMobile.
Vendor & Speaker parking is available at Galvez Lot.
