AFS at Stanford

Because this website uses an older two-step authentication method, when you download the software you might not see the updated version of the two-step authentication screens.

AFS at Stanford is used to mount mount AFS directories to your Windows Explorer or Mac desktop, to use similarly to the way you would work with other folders. You can access your own AFS space, or space in other user, group, class, and department directories, provided you have been granted the necessary permissions.

AFS at Stanford provides an alternative to SFTP clients, such as SecureFX (for Windows) or Fetch (for Macs), for those who frequently access files in AFS.

Notes

If AFS at Stanford stops working after a Windows update, uninstall AFS at Stanford and then reinstall it.
