Are you a beginner in digital accessibility or a seasoned developer unsure how to create an accessible website, mobile app, or web-based application? The Office of Digital Accessibility has a resource for you! Accessibility training modules provide a variety of courses on several topics around digital accessibility for all levels and roles.
The training platform
The Office of Digital Accessibility has partnered with Deque University — a training platform that provides self-guided online courses on accessibility for websites and web-based applications, electronic documents, mobile content, and a variety of platforms (e.g., Adobe Suite.) You can also group courses together and create customized training paths for a business unit-relevant learning experience.
Some of the courses offered include:
- Fast Track to Accessibility for Any Role (Non-Technical)
- Fast Track to Accessibility for Microsoft Office
- Fast Track to Accessibility for Web Developers Part 1
The platform also functions as a knowledge hub, enabling you to search for content related to a specific question about accessibility.
Getting started
Ready to start your dive into your accessibility learning journey? Submit a training platform request to the Office of Digital Accessibility to be added to the platform, and indicate if you would like a custom learning path for your department. Then, review the Accessibility Training Sign-up guide.
