New Stanford Web Services Content Care Service: Collaborate on Accessible Website Maintenance
The Stanford Web Services (SWS) Content Care service allows site owners to collaborate with experts who specialize in assessing and improving the accessibility of websites, applications, and mobile apps. This service can help site owners ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level A, and Level AA, which are the university's standards for digital content accessibility.
Collaboration with SWS
After a website launches, maintaining an accessible, up-to-date web presence reflects quality and integrity — SWS is here to help.
Through this service, SWS partners with you to:
- Identify and assess issues using Siteimprove scanning and manual testing
- Identify remediation priorities and strategies alongside our partners in the Office of Digital Accessibility
- Mentor content writers and editors on best practices
- Track and report the impact of testing and remediation efforts over time
Best of all, you can get assistance either as a one-time service or on an ongoing basis. Learn more about how the Content Care service can help you maintain accessible websites and applications. You can also request a consultation with SWS to develop an efficient, cost-effective accessibility strategy that covers every stage of your project — from planning and user research to design, development, and long-term maintenance.
