We will tour several example websites and show you how to get started on your own website.

Topics include:

- Request a Drupal 7 website

- Enable modules

- Create content using Stanford Page and Stanford Landing Page

- Format content using Stanford WYSIWYG

- Learn about styling with CSS

- Enhance your site with images (Where to get them, Image styles)

- Create and place blocks using Stanford Bean Types

Depending on interest we can cover additional topics such as Stanford built modules:

- News

- People

- Events

- Courses

We will also consider requests.

Keep in mind this class is a lecture not a workshop. However, we encourage you to bring your laptop and to request your Drupal site prior to class so that you can apply what you learn.

Follow the steps in this blogpost to request your site: https://swsblog.stanford.edu/blog/getting-started-sites-how-request-personal-drupal-site
