Smartsheet for Managers - Working with Remote Teams

Effective immediately in response to COVID-19, most Technology Training classes will be delivered online until further notice.

In advance of each session, Tech Training will provide you with a Zoom link to your class, along with any required class materials.
 


 

This class explores the ways for managers or project leaders to better collaborate and share information with their remote team. You will be introduced to workflows for approvals, and creating reports and dashboards to better present data.

Pre-requisites:

Learners should have a basic knowledge of creating and editing Smartsheets.

Refresher from the Smartsheet Basics class

Collaborating with Remote Staff

  • Manage permissions, and sharing sheets/workspaces

 

Workflows

  • Automated alerts, update requests, and approvals

 

Reports to manage / view tasks and staff progress

  • Report Builder
  • Sort report
  • Share/Send reports

 

Dashboards/Portals

  • Creating Dashboards to publicize your data
  • Widget types -- Metric, Chart, Shortcut, Rich Text, Report, Image, - Title, Web Content
  • Sharing your Dashboard
