Activities
This class gives you all the tools necessary to create a memorable, well-crafted project. Whether you are self-taught or if this is the first time opening InDesign, together we cover all the tool names and functions.
The class structure is broken into 4 tutorials. Starting with creating and then editing basic text and object frames. Each tutorial builds off the previous one, allowing us to explore new tools while getting comfortable with the palettes and menu items. All the images and files you need to follow along will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring any images and files you wish to work with (time permitting).
You will learn:
- The importance of working with Frames, including:
- Creating/modifying/resizing, wrapping text, and orienting/rotating/aligning objects
- The most efficient methods for formatting text, including:
- Placing and editing text, Text wrap, adjusting vertical spacing, changing fonts/type style/paragraph alignment, decorative fonts and special characters, drop caps, kerning and tracking, tabs
By the end of the class, you will be ready to open any document or template and make it look the way YOU want.
The class will be taught using Adobe InDesign Creative Cloud.
