Students with a full-service SUNet ID are allocated a standard amount of storage at no cost. Additional storage can be purchased as needed. Academic and administrative departments, as well as faculty and staff, can subscribe to a wide variety of data storage offerings, depending upon need.

Students
All students with a full-service SUNet ID are granted 5 GB of AFS file space to store, back up, share, and serve personal files, free of charge.
Faculty & Staff
New faculty and staff members are not auto-provisioned with AFS user volumes, but can submit a Help request if personal AFS user volume is needed.
Departments & Groups
AFS is also available to academic and administrative departments, student groups, and organizations. File Storage is available at low cost. Server Disk Storage provides industry-standard performance and reliability for enterprise systems.
Researchers & PIs
Custom storage solutions can be set up for high-performance computing and large research data files. This service requires a subscription; cost is based on the amount of storage allocated.
Stanford Research Computing Center (SRCC) offers High-Performance Computing (HPC) storage research groups and projects at Stanford for research data.
