Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams will undergo an update on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 10 p.m. Please allow up to 24 hours for the update to finalize. The updated version of new Microsoft Teams offers several improvements including:

  • Enhanced notification
  • Additional chat features
  • Ease of transitioning between organizations within Teams meetings and chat

Microsoft Teams to Become Available University-Wide

Microsoft Teams is a secure platform that enables collaboration via text chat, voice or video calls, and document sharing. Teams integrates with other Microsoft tools. You can store and share files through OneDrive and SharePoint, edit Office documents, set up Planner tasks, collaborate in the Whiteboard app, or view Power BI dashboards— all from within the app. 


  • Create Teams and channels for organizing conversations, files, and meetings
  • Chat with text, audio, video, and file sharing
  • Make and receive calls in Teams with features like group calling and voicemail
  • Presence indicator based on activity, manual status settings, or Outlook calendar
  • Integrate your favorite apps

Get started

Once enabled and available to you, Teams and other M365 appslications, will appear as new tiles after you click on the app launcher (the square in the top left corner) in webmail or at
