Stanford Unlock Replacing Mobile Key in December 2026

Mobile Key, an expanded functionality of Stanford Mobile ID that enables you to access doors across campus via a digital card, will transition to Stanford Unlock in December 2026. This transition ensures you have continued secure, digital access to buildings and services across campus.

Activate Stanford Unlock

You can continue using your existing Mobile Key until the transition is complete, but we recommend activating Stanford Unlock before December to avoid access disruption. 

About Stanford Unlock

Last month, we announced the launch of Stanford Unlock, a digital access card stored in your mobile wallet.

Stanford Unlock provides you with access to buildings and services with the Stanford Unlock pass mobile wallet application. Please note that Stanford Unlock does not support Samsung Wallet.
