Note: This article has been revised to reflect the official release date on May 10. Please review this information carefully to familiarize yourself with the new user interface.
We are enhancing the user experience for Stanford Accounts—with the changes coming on May 10, 2025. With a sleek new design, simplified navigation, and improved accessibility, the refreshed interface will make managing passwords and accounts easier.
What to expect
After the upgrade, the interface will look quite different from what you see today, but you'll still access the same information and most features.
Upon launching the updated Stanford Accounts application, you will notice the following:
- Modernized interface: The entire application has been transformed into an elegant and modern user interface.
- Simplified navigation: A redesigned dashboard organized with everything you need on the main landing page.
- Improved accessibility: Each component has been evaluated for a more inclusive user experience.
- Autoreply redirect: The autoreply feature will redirect users to their vacation and out-of-office settings in Stanford email (Microsoft 365 or Gmail), and the legacy autoreply feature will be retired as part of the upgrade.
- Sponsorship email requirement: To set up a sponsored SUNet ID at base level, sponsees will need to provide a valid non-Stanford email address at the time of SUNet ID creation.
