We’re excited to announce that Stanford has upgraded its Smartsheet enterprise license to the “Advance” platform, effective Oct. 18, 2021. This change will give you the opportunity to access new features and additional support resources.
Achieve more with premium apps
The “Advance” platform has all the premium features that Smartsheet offers, including:
- Smartsheet Control Center, for the ability to deliver consistency and visibility at scale by automating project creation, aggregating portfolio reporting, and managing change.
- Calendar App, an interactive and flexible calendar view that allows you to build shareable calendars with custom details.
- Work Apps, which you can use to quickly build easy-to-navigate apps using Smartsheet and external content like Tableau dashboards or Google Docs, all without writing a single line of code.

Get professional support
Also included in the upgraded plan is premium support. This includes a resource called ProDesks, which are 1:1 coaching and building sessions with experts on the Smartsheet support team. These sessions can be used for assistance with core Smartsheet, but also for help with the premium features linked in the dashboard above.

What is Smartsheet?
Smartsheet is a cloud-based platform that enables your team to improve collaboration, automate repetitive tasks, manage projects, and report on projects within one tool. Additionally, Stanford Smartsheet, under the university's enterprise license, supports protected health information (PHI) and other high-risk data.
Do I need a license?
You can collaborate on Stanford Smartsheet without a license by viewing and editing the sheets that are shared with you. If you want to create new sheets, change the structure of a sheet, or build reports or dashboards, you’ll need a license.
Rates
Stanford Smartsheet can be purchased for an annual fee of $340 per license. You must provide a departmental PTA to be billed for the license.
