Milad Jasemi Zargani

Dr. Jasemi is an Assistant Professor of Computer Informatics in the Michael E. Stephens College of Business at the University of Montevallo. He earned his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2010. The dissertation focused on Financial Modeling and Data Analytics by development of a multi-stage neural network-based methodology for portfolio management of stocks. His MSc and BSc are also in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2005 and Iran University of Science and Technology in 2003, Tehran, Iran, respectively.

Prior to coming to University of Montevallo in fall 2019, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor of MIS at the School of Business and Economics at the State University of New York in Plattsburgh 2018-19; a Postdoctoral Researcher and Adjunct Faculty at the Industrial and Systems Engineering department of Wayne State University, MI 2016-18; and an Assistant Professor at the Industrial and Systems Engineering department of KN Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran 2013-16.

Dr. Jasemi’s primary research interests are in Data Analytics and Operations Management. He is also interested in financial-based studies. His teaching areas are Data Analytics, Computer Programming, and Operations Management.
