In this session to build your PowerPoint skills to create visual, dynamic, engaging slides, animations, and transitions.
Prerequisites
A passing knowledge of PowerPoint is ideal but not required. If you've used any presentation authoring or graphic design tool, you should be fine; the interface will feel familiar. You'll need a computer running PowerPoint 2016, 2019, 2021, or Office 365. And a desire to create more dynamic, visual slides that may take longer than standard bullet point slides.
Goal
Marvel at how amazing your presentations can be using only PowerPoint. Create visual, dynamic, engaging slides that help your audience learn in this interactive session packed full of real-life examples of bullet points transformed into meaningful visuals.
Objectives
- Learn visual storytelling techniques to focus your audience's attention and communicate in a clear and compelling manner.
- Use animation and transitions elegantly to create content that stimulates engagement and enhances understanding.
- Review and discuss typical slides and how to improve them with visuals.
Topics
PowerPoint is such an essential tool for all types of communication, but it's badly used. Revolutionize your content with amazing visuals, engage your audience with compelling animations, and impress them with beautiful, professional design. All using only PowerPoint.
You'll explore a host of visual storytelling techniques that you can use immediately to create amazing visual presentations, from complex data sets, through detailed processes, to persuasive summaries of your findings.
And then you'll look at how animation can (when used carefully) not only bring your content to life, but also help people to understand the ideas much more easily, as well as making the whole thing far easier to present. The use and nuance of the animation and transition functions (including Morph) are great fun to discover.
We'll review some of your content, live in the session, to look at how you might improve it and the different options to best suit your needs and those of your audience, tying up a high practical, hands-on course, with the inspiration to apply the techniques straight away.
