HTML5: Web-Building Basics

This hands-on class will introduce you to the basics of HTML (hypertext markup language), the simple code that makes up the foundational building blocks of a website, and give you the tools to begin making your mark on our online world.

By the conclusion of this class, you will be able to:

  • Explain what HTML is and why you're learning it
  • Demonstrate proper file organization and explain its importance
  • List and define useful HTML tags
  • Construct a basic web page featuring text, images, embedded video, and links
