Adobe After Effects: Creating Engaging Presentation Titles

After Effects is a versatile tool used for animation, motion graphics, and more. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn the basic concepts of how After Effects works with images, text, and video.

To get hands-on practice with the application, we will also go step by step into creating a stunning full screen title that you can use at the start of your presentation to gain immediate interest. 

Class overview:

  • Basic After Effects Concepts: We will learn about the various components that make After Effects tick including footage, effects, layers, animation, and compositions. 
  • UI Overview: Learn about the different spaces in the program and what function they offer. We will cover how to import media, add it into the timeline, animate it, and alter it with effects. 
  • Animate layers: Add keyframes to position, scale, and rotation 
  • Masking: Learn how to hide and reveal portions of a layer using masking. 
  • Text: See how this tool uses fonts to create fonts on screen. 
  • Explore type animators: Learn how to easily animate text using powerful presets.
  • Parenting: Learn how to easily manipulate multiple layers with one control.
