University IT (UIT) and the School of Medicine Technology Digital Solutions have identified more than a dozen university applications that may need to be accessible to individuals in Stanford's hospitals. The identified platforms include Stanford University ServiceNow, Slack, and Workgroup Manager.
Starting in 2025, UIT will initiate a series of discovery and implementation projects to assess whether a subset of the identified university applications can be made accessible to approved hospital users. The applications to be explored in the first quarter of the year include Slack, Authority Manager, and ServiceNow.
These efforts aim to improve the overall healthcare experience, deepen collaboration, strengthen the security of protected health information (PHI), and reduce duplicative spending across Stanford Medicine.
