UIT Rate Changes for FY20

Rates will change for some technology services provided by University IT at the start of fiscal year 2020, which begins Sept. 1, 2019. The average rate increase is approximately 3 percent. We encourage you to visit our website to view the rate changes and ensure you have accurate information for planning your budgets.

Why are rates changing?

Many factors affect rate changes, causing increases or decreases accordingly. These factors include:

  • Annual staff salary increases
  • Advances in technology
  • Demand for and use of our services
  • Licensing and software subscription fees
  • Operational improvements such as automation

While we were able to hold almost all of our rates stable for fiscal year 2019, increases in staff compensation — a significant component of our cost base — requires us to adjust our rates for the coming year.

How can I learn more?
