Introducing Echo Labs: Captioning Powered by AI

The Office of Digital Accessibility is introducing a new Master Service Agreement with Echo Labs: a video captioning and audio description service powered by AI.

The platform’s AI functionality streamlines video accessibility processes, saving the community both time and money while ensuring video content is accessible to all.

Echo Labs

Echo Labs is an AI captioning platform built for higher education. The tool integrates seamlessly with video-sharing platforms and learning management systems such as YouTube and Canvas, and has a simple user interface for uploading and reviewing content.

Additional features include:

  • Affordability: Accessibility services at a fraction of the cost
  • Quick turnaround: Caption and audio description creation can be completed in as fast as 24 hours.
  • High accuracy: Nearly 100% accuracy in captions and audio descriptions.
  • Video library scanning: Echo Labs’ Sonar feature scans video libraries, such as YouTube channels, for WCAG caption compliance with a click of a button.
