Introducing Continual Engine: A Remediation Service

The Office of Digital Accessibility is happy to announce an additional PDF remediation option for the Stanford community: Continual Engine. Continual Engine combines human expertise with AI to remediate documents in various formats. With the help of this service, your documents will be compliant with digital accessibility standards, and accessible to all. 

Note: The content in your PDFs is not being utilized to train the AI language model.

For a fee, Continual Engine can create accessible:

  • Fillable PDF forms
  • PowerPoints
  • Microsoft Word documents
  • And more

Perks of Continual Engine

Continual Engine is a dynamic web-based platform (UI) offering an intuitive and streamlined user experience for remediating PDFs. 

Using Continual Engine is easy and intuitive. Simply:

  1. Upload your documents to the Continual Engine platform.
  2. Receive a detailed quote and cost analysis.
  3. Approve and receive a fully compliant document.

Service pricing

The price for Continual Engine’s remediation varies on the document type:

  • A simple/medium document: $2.25 per page.
  • A complex document containing tables, complex images, graphs, or math equations will be remediated at $3.50 to $4.00 per page.
