Before each sesson, Tech Training will provide a Zoom link for live online classes, along with any required class materials.


Learn how to design and layout posters, publications, and PDFs in Adobe InDesign. We will cover navigating the workspace, enhancing typography, formatting text, importing content, and the tools available to enhance your visual communication skills.

In this four-part beginning-level course, you will learn how to do the following in Adobe InDesign:
1. Workspace and document setup, navigating the software, and placing text and images. 
2. Threading and wrapping text, character and paragraph styles, and templates.
3. Creating a multi-page document, and working with parent pages.
4. Creating interactive documents, exporting for e-readers, and preparing for print.

Each course will have demonstrations and fun projects, including productivity tips and workflow advice.

This course welcomes beginning learners.


Course Goals

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
Build fliers, brochures, interactive publications, and templates in InDesign.
Evaluate the information hierarchy and select the most impactful formatting method. 
Break down content and page attributes to create a cohesive layout for optimum readability.
Use and customize InDesign¿s styles and libraries for an efficient workflow.
Interpret parent pages and override templates or existing documents.
Recognize the functionality of type, drawing, selecting tools, and options.
