Program Description

This session is a hands-on introduction to Python designed for complete beginners. Participants are introduced to computational thinking and practical coding fundamentals through Python syntax, logic, and core programming principles, including variables and data types, control flow, loops, and functions.

Learning Objectives

Learners will have the opportunity to:
1. Explore Python’s uses: Identify common applications of Python and how it can help solve everyday problems.
2. Work with foundational data: Use variables, basic operators, and various data types (integers, strings, floats, and booleans).
3. Manage program logic: Explore control flow structures (if/else conditional statements) and practice basic iteration using for and while loops.
4. Utilize functions: Define and call functions, manage scope, and perform basic input/output operations.

Topic Outline

- Overview of Python and Its Uses: Task Automation, Data Analysis, Web Development, and Artificial Intelligence
- Variables, Data Types (integers, strings, floats, booleans), and Basic Operators
- Control Flow Structures (conditional statements, if/else logic)
- Loops (for and while loops) and Basic Iteration
- Defining and Calling Functions, Scope, and Basic Input/Output Operations
