Program Description

This intermediate course is designed for learners who are ready to move beyond Canva basics and develop a more strategic, polished approach to visual communication.

Building on foundational skills in layout, templates, and basic editing, participants will explore advanced graphic design principles, branding systems, and professional Canva Pro features across two hands-on sessions.

By working through realistic design challenges, attendees will strengthen their ability to create cohesive, audience-focused visual content for a variety of platforms and purposes. This course is an ideal next step for anyone looking to use Canva Pro with greater confidence, intention, and creative range.

1. Apply intermediate graphic design principles to create more polished and intentional visual content
2. Analyze audience needs and communication goals to make stronger, more strategic design decisions
3. Practice creating cohesive branded campaigns and multi-format content systems using Canva Pro tools and workflows
4. Evaluate designs for readability, consistency, accessibility, and professional presentation quality
5. Explore efficient creative workflows using Canva Pro features such as Brand Kits, Magic Resize, premium assets, advanced editing tools, and reusable templates

- Designing for specific audiences and communication goals
- Using Canva Pro Brand Kits and reusable templates
- Working with guides, grids, layers, transparency, and grouping
- Creating cohesive multi-post social media campaigns
- Organizing projects and creative assets efficiently

Session 2: Professional Content Creation and Workflow
- Advanced photo editing and retouching tools in Canva Pro
- Background removal and image compositing

Prerequisites

Prerequisites:
Participants should have completed Canva: Create Engaging Graphics and Visual Content or possess equivalent Canva experience, including familiarity with templates, text formatting, basic layout tools, and exporting files. A Canva Pro account is required for this course.
