Why does my shared email account show as "pending"?

A shared email account, also known as a functional account, is pending until it is sponsored. It will become active approximately four hours after it has been sponsored.

If you have not already identified a sponsor, ask a staff or faculty member to go to Sponsorship Manager and sponsor the account.
