A Resource Plan summarizes the role, group, date, and level of effort a resource needed to complete a project. The practice of capturing resource plans within demands is necessary for capacity planning.
Demand resource plans power several views in the system:
- For people managers: See the future demands on their own resources
- For Project Portfolio Management Governance Committee: Can view resource needs for each demand in the pipeline to aid in decision-making.
By this stage, people managers should have provided details about the work contribution expected from their teams. The Demand Manager will use that information to create Resource Plans.
