Demand Management

A demand owner submits a demand; the demand is then reviewed by the demand manager and qualified so it can be presented to your organization's project governance group/committee. Finally, if your organization wants to move forward, the demand is prioritized and approved. It is then converted to a project in the system.

There are three roles in demand management:

  • Demand Owner: Submits and owns demand requests from submission to approval. Anyone who manages people, services, or programs may be a Demand Owner in PPM.
  • Demand Collaborators: Provide additional information on a demand, such as a technical approach, roles needed, and estimates of the work contribution from the collaborator’s team.
  • Demand Manager: Receives all requested demands and ensures they are processed through to a qualified state and ready for Governance Committee review.
