University IT will be performing a full system upgrade of the Stanford Paging environment starting on Monday, Sept. 30, 2019 at 11 p.m., continuing until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019. Expected impact:
- Page Operators will be available throughout the upgrade window
From within hospitals dial 288 from elsewhere dial 650 723-7288
- A full system outage of 5 minutes will occur between 12:45 and 1:15 a.m.
During this outage, no page messages can be sent by Page Operators (including codes), by Epic (email-to-page) and other integrated systems, or at smartpage.stanford.edu. Codes will be announced overhead during the outage.
Subsequently, no page messages will be delivered during the outage to SPOK Mobile apps, to cell phones (SMS text messages), to pagers, to Voalte phones, or to email destinations. Voalte-to-Voalte messages and alerts will not be impacted.
- Alternate delivery of pages to Spok Mobile from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
During this window, Spok Mobile users will receive copies of their page messages at their registered email address and/or cell phone number via SMS text message. In addition, no new messages or replies can be sent from the Spok Mobile application during this time.
Contact the Page Operator to make any changes to paging availability, coverage or on-call schedules between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Any changes made via mypager.stanford.edu or smartpage.stanford.edu during the upgrade will be lost.
