9:00 AM: On January 14, 2019, Proofpoint, a vendor partner Stanford uses for part of its email infrastructure began experiencing an issue impacting its Santa Clara Data Center. As a result, Stanford is experiencing delays in both incoming and outgoing mail messages. University IT is working with Proofpoint to correct the issue and will update status here. There is currently no estimate when service will return to normal.
9:45 AM: The vendor has stabilized this incident and functions are returning to normal.
